
The 2S 4A Lithium Battery Protection BMS Module for 7.4V LFP Cells is a compact battery protection board designed for battery packs made from two Lithium Iron Phosphate (LiFePO4/LFP) cells connected in series. It is designed for 3.2V nominal LFP cells, providing a 6.4V nominal pack voltage and approximately 7.2Vā7.3V when fully charged, depending on the specific LFP cell and BMS design. This module helps protect the battery pack against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, and short-circuit conditions.
The BMS continuously monitors the voltage of the series-connected LFP cells and provides automatic protection when abnormal charging or discharging conditions are detected. Since LiFePO4 cells have different voltage characteristics from conventional 3.7V lithium-ion cells, this BMS should be used only with compatible LFP cells. Using an LFP-specific BMS helps ensure that the battery pack is operated within appropriate voltage limits for this chemistry.
With a rated current of approximately 4A, the module is suitable for low-to-medium current 2S LFP battery applications. It can be used with compatible 3.2V LiFePO4 cells to create rechargeable battery packs for portable electronics, LED systems, small robotics, IoT devices, backup power projects, DIY electronics, and other low-power applications. The compact PCB design allows the protection circuit to be integrated directly into custom battery packs.
The module uses dedicated terminals for the negative cell, cell junction, and positive cell connections, allowing the BMS to monitor the individual cells in the 2S pack. Correct wiring and polarity are essential for proper operation. The cells should be properly matched and connected according to the markings on the BMS. A suitable charger specifically designed for a 2S LiFePO4 battery pack should be used for charging.
