The 8-Channel Touch Sensor Module โ€“ TTP226 is a capacitive touch input module designed to detect finger touch across 8 independent touch-sensitive channels. Built around the TTP226 capacitive touch detector IC, the module provides a convenient alternative to traditional mechanical push buttons by detecting changes in capacitance when a finger approaches or touches one of the sensing pads.

Operating from approximately 2.0V to 5.5V DC at the IC level, the TTP226 supports configurable output behavior, sensitivity adjustment, active-high or active-low operation, and selectable direct, matrix, or serial output modes depending on module configuration. Common breakout modules include 8 onboard touch pads and individual LED status indicators for each channel.

The module is suitable for touch-sensitive control panels, home automation systems, robotics, electronic locks, appliance controls, interactive displays, and embedded user interfaces. It can be interfaced with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, PIC, AVR, and other digital-input microcontrollers.
