The CD74HC4067 16-Channel Analog/Digital Multiplexer Breakout Module is a versatile signal routing module that allows a single microcontroller pin to interface with up to 16 analog or digital signals. Based on the CD74HC4067 high-speed CMOS multiplexer/demultiplexer IC, the module acts as an electronically controlled rotary switch, connecting one common signal pin (SIG) to any one of sixteen input/output channels.
Using only four address select pins (S0–S3), the module enables microcontrollers such as Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico, and other development boards to significantly expand their input/output capabilities. The module supports both analog and digital signals and can be used for sensor expansion, keypad scanning, signal routing, data acquisition systems, and automation projects.
The breakout board provides easy access to all channel pins, address lines, enable control, and power connections, making it ideal for rapid prototyping and embedded system development. The internal switches are bidirectional and feature low ON resistance, low leakage current, and break-before-make switching for reliable signal routing.
