The DS18B20 Waterproof Temperature Sensor Probe is a digital temperature sensor designed for accurate temperature measurement in liquids, wet environments, outdoor installations, tanks, aquariums, and industrial systems. The sensor is enclosed inside a sealed stainless-steel probe and connected through an insulated cable, allowing the sensing probe to be placed in water or other suitable non-corrosive liquids while keeping the electronic connections away from moisture.

Based on the DS18B20 digital temperature sensor, the probe communicates using the 1-Wire communication protocol, requiring only one microcontroller data pin for communication. Each sensor has a unique 64-bit serial code, allowing multiple DS18B20 sensors to be connected to the same 1-Wire bus and individually identified. This makes the sensor especially useful for multi-point temperature monitoring systems.

The sensor operates from 3.0V to 5.5V DC and provides a measurement range of -55°C to +125°C, with an accuracy of ±0.5°C from -10°C to +85°C for genuine DS18B20 devices. It supports programmable 9-bit to 12-bit resolution and can be easily interfaced with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, PIC, AVR, and other development platforms.
