The HR202 Humidity Detection Sensor Module is a compact resistive humidity sensing module designed for detecting changes in relative humidity (RH) and providing a threshold-based output for monitoring and control applications. The module uses an HR202 resistive humidity sensor together with an LM393 voltage comparator, allowing it to detect when environmental humidity rises above or falls below an adjustable preset level.
The HR202 sensing element changes its impedance according to the moisture content of the surrounding air. The onboard comparator circuit compares the sensor signal against the threshold set using the adjustable potentiometer and provides a digital HIGH/LOW switching output. This makes the module particularly useful for humidity alarms, ventilation control, dehumidifier control, storage monitoring, and other applications where a humidity threshold needs to trigger an action.
The module typically operates from 3.3V to 5V DC and covers a nominal humidity sensing range of approximately 20% RH to 95% RH. Common 3-pin versions provide a digital output, while some 4-pin variants provide both analog and digital outputs.
With its compact size, adjustable sensitivity, onboard power and output indicators, and simple microcontroller interface, the HR202 module is suitable for Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico, RP2040, PIC, AVR, and other digital control systems.
