Based on the CN3065 single-cell lithium battery charge management IC, this miniature board provides a simple and practical solution for solar-powered electronics, IoT devices, remote sensors, wearable products, portable electronics, and DIY renewable-energy projects. With its very small footprint, low power consumption, charging status indicators, and convenient battery connectors, the module is ideal for applications where PCB space is limited.
The Mini Solar LiPo Charger Board accepts a solar panel input of approximately 4.4V to 6V DC and provides controlled charging for a single 3.7V nominal LiPo or lithium-ion cell. The CN3065 charging controller is designed specifically for photovoltaic charging applications and manages the charging process while limiting the charging current to approximately 500mA on the standard version. The charger terminates charging at approximately 4.2V, making it suitable for standard single-cell 3.7V LiPo batteries.
The board includes convenient 2-pin JST/PH2.0-compatible battery and solar connections, along with a Micro-USB input on versions equipped with USB charging. Red and green LEDs provide simple charging-status indication, with the red LED indicating charging and the green LED indicating a fully charged battery. The module also incorporates short-circuit protection, making it suitable for compact battery-powered systems where simple and reliable charging management is required.
