The NTC Thermistor Digital Temperature Sensor Module is a compact and sensitive temperature detection module designed for temperature monitoring, threshold detection, overheat protection, alarm systems, and automatic temperature control projects. The module uses an NTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient) thermistor as its temperature-sensing element and an LM393 voltage comparator to provide a clean digital switching signal.
The NTC thermistor changes its electrical resistance according to temperature. As the temperature increases, the resistance of the NTC thermistor decreases. The onboard comparator circuit compares the sensor signal with a reference level set using the adjustable potentiometer and changes the digital output when the configured temperature threshold is crossed.
The module commonly operates from 3.3V to 5V DC, making it suitable for Arduino, ESP32, ESP8266, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico, RP2040, PIC, AVR, and other development platforms. Common module versions offer an adjustable digital output, while some 4-pin variants also provide a direct analog output from the thermistor circuit.
With its simple interface, adjustable threshold, onboard status indicators, and compact size, the module is suitable for temperature alarms, cooling fan control, overheating detection, home automation, equipment protection, and educational electronics projects.
