The PCB Mounted Passive Buzzer Module is a compact audio output module designed to generate programmable tones and sound effects using a microcontroller. Unlike an active buzzer, a passive buzzer does not contain an internal oscillator and requires a square wave or PWM signal to produce sound. This allows users to generate different frequencies, melodies, alarms, and musical notes by simply varying the input signal.
The module is designed for easy PCB mounting and features a standard 2.54mm pin pitch for direct interfacing with Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi Pico, and other development boards. Its low power consumption and simple interface make it ideal for alarms, notification systems, electronic toys, timers, robotics, and educational electronics projects.
