The module combines lithium battery charging, battery protection, voltage boosting, USB output, and battery-level indication functions on a single compact PCB.

The module is designed to work with 3.7V nominal lithium-ion or lithium-polymer batteries, including 18650 cells. Its built-in boost converter steps the battery voltage up to a regulated 5V USB output, with common versions providing selectable or port-dependent 5V 1A and 5V 2A outputs through two USB-A ports.
