This is the fully assembled version of the Pi T-Cobbler Plus. It is compatible with Raspberry Pi models that feature the 40-pin GPIO header, including Raspberry Pi Model Zero, A+, B+, Pi 2, and Pi 3. The Raspberry Pi has taken the maker community by storm with its compact, credit-card-sized design, 40 GPIO pins, and multiple USB ports—making it a powerful platform for DIY projects. While older Model B accessories can still be used with a downgrade cable, upgrading to a 40-pin setup allows you to take full advantage of all available GPIO features.
The T-Cobbler Plus is an add-on prototyping board specifically created for Raspberry Pi boards with a 2x20 (40-pin) GPIO connector. It neatly breaks out all power, GPIO, I2C, and SPI pins from the 40-pin header onto a standard solderless breadboard, making circuit building and prototyping simple and convenient. Each package includes an assembled T-Cobbler Plus board along with a 40-pin ribbon cable, allowing you to easily connect the Raspberry Pi to the breakout board.
Simply connect the ribbon cable between your Raspberry Pi and the T-Cobbler Plus, then plug the Cobbler into any standard solderless breadboard (or a prototyping board such as PermaProto). The PCB is clearly labeled with all pin names, eliminating the need to constantly refer to a pinout diagram while working on your projects. This makes experimenting, learning, and building custom circuits with the Raspberry Pi more efficient and enjoyable.
