The Vibration Sensor – SW-18020P is a compact spring-type vibration and shake detection switch designed to detect movement, vibration, impact, and mechanical shock. The sensor contains an internal conductive spring mechanism that momentarily closes its electrical contacts when sufficient vibration or movement is detected.

Under normal stationary conditions, the SW-18020P remains in an open-circuit OFF state. When vibration, shaking, impact, or movement causes the internal spring to move, the contacts briefly connect and produce an ON-state pulse. Once the movement stops, the sensor automatically returns to its normally open state. The SW-18020P is non-directional and can respond to vibration from different orientations.

The sensor features a compact sealed cylindrical package and simple 2-pin, non-polarized connection. It can be connected to microcontroller digital inputs using a pull-up or pull-down resistor and is suitable for Arduino, ESP32, STM32, Raspberry Pi, PIC, AVR, and other electronic control systems.

The SW-18020P is widely used in anti-theft alarms, vibration detection systems, smart home devices, electronic toys, sports equipment, vehicle electronics, machine movement detection, and other applications requiring simple mechanical vibration sensing.
