Featuring a 32-bit Xtensa LX7 dual-core CPU running at up to 240MHz, integrated 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5 LE, 4MB Flash, 2MB PSRAM, and multiple multifunction GPIO interfaces, this miniature development board delivers impressive processing and connectivity capabilities in an extremely compact form factor. Its castellated-edge design allows the board to be soldered directly onto a custom carrier PCB, making it suitable for both prototyping and embedded product development.

Powered by the ESP32-S3FH4R2, the board combines a high-performance dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor with 512KB SRAM, 384KB ROM, 4MB Flash, and 2MB PSRAM. The additional PSRAM provides useful memory resources for applications involving graphical interfaces, data buffering, audio processing, image processing, wireless communication, and lightweight AI or machine-learning applications. With a maximum operating frequency of 240MHz, the ESP32-S3 provides substantially more processing capability than many conventional entry-level microcontroller boards while maintaining support for low-power operating modes.

The Waveshare ESP32-S3 Mini integrates 2.4GHz IEEE 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5 Low Energy (BLE), providing reliable wireless connectivity for IoT devices, smart-home systems, wireless sensors, remote controllers, automation equipment, and connected robotics. The board includes an onboard ceramic antenna, USB Type-C interface, BOOT and RESET buttons, WS2812 RGB LED, and a low-dropout voltage regulator.
